Refund policy

Limited Lifetime Warranty

At The Useful Company, we believe in the quality of our products and stand behind them with a limited lifetime warranty. However, if you're using our products for commercial purposes or damage them during your wild and crazy adventures, this warranty won't apply.

Please keep in mind that our warranty only covers the functionality of the product and doesn't cover normal wear and tear, improper use, or paint damage.

Here's what we've got your back for as part of our lifetime warranty:

  • If your drink isn't staying hot or cold like it should be, we've got you covered.
  • If there’s rust, we'll be there for you too.
  • Factory defects? Don't stress.

We'll gladly exchange or refund any item(s) free of charge within 30 days after your order is fulfilled if you experience one or more of these defects.

For these issues we can either process a refund to your original form of payment, after the return has been fully processed, or we can exchange the item. 

We cannot accept related claims if the merchandise is not in its original packaging.


Returns: 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee

We’ll happily exchange/refund your item(s) free of charge within 30 days after your order is fulfilled:

  • If your lid or slider isn't working properly.
  • If your tumbler is making strange noises, we'll take a listen.

For these issues we can either process a refund to your original form of payment, after the return has been fully processed, or we can exchange the item.

We cannot accept claims if the merchandise has been used and is not in its original packaging.

Shipping damage:

We cannot accept claims for shipping damage if the tumbler has been used and/or the packaging is undamaged.

We carefully inspect all items before shipping to ensure their quality. If your product arrives with a dent or other damage, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, to be eligible for a shipping related damage or blemish claim.

The following won't be considered defects and won't be eligible for returns:

  • Paint damage caused by misuse
  • Dented or dropped products
  • Physical damage from improper care
  • Lost parts or accessories
  • Damaged packaging
  • Any modifications made to the product

 

Free Returns Eligibility

To be eligible for a free return, your return request must meet the following criteria:

  • All returns requests must be submitted within 30 days after your order is fulfilled.
  • All merchandise must be unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
  • Shipping damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of receiving the item(s).
  • Any additional return shipping cost are non-refundable.

During peak periods, processing times may increase. Refunds will be returned to the original form of payment.

After 30 days, we won't be able to replace items that start to show signs of normal wear and tear.


If you need to make a claim, here's what you do:

Shoot us an email at info@usefulcompany.co.za with the following details:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Product in question
  • Reason for the claim
  • Date of purchase
  • A photo of the issue
  • Your shipping address

We'll take a look at your claim and reach out to you via email with the status and an estimated ship date for your replacement product, if applicable. And don't forget to include the original packaging, and make sure the product is clean and unused. Shipping costs won't be refunded.

To keep things smooth and stress-free for you, we recommend using a delivery service that offers tracking, like Courier Guy. And remember, any shipping costs you incur during the process will be your responsibility and won't be refunded, unless The Useful Company deems the item you're returning faulty in line with our warranty.

One more thing to keep in mind: putting your tumbler in the freezer or dishwasher will void the warranty.
